Paintball game is a kind of simulation of actual combat game. In this game, players defeat opponents by hitting them with dye-filled, breakable, oil and gelatin paintballs. It is has intrinsic hazards for the active participants, therefore, paintball barrier netting is necessary in order to protect spectators' safety, although the paintball barrier netting can not eliminate all injuries, it can substantially reduce the frequency and severity of injuries when properly installed.

Layout: Paintball barrier netting shall be installed not closer than 6.10 ± 0.15 m (20.0 ± 0.5 ft.) from the playing field boundary line. A spectator exclusion zone will extend a minimum of 0.61 ± 0.15 m (2.0 ± 0.5 ft.) beyond the paintball barrier netting.

Entrance: The entrance to the field shall be a shape of zigzag for it can prevent a paintball from passing through in a straight line.

• Mesh size: 10 × 10 mm, 15 × 15 mm, 17 × 17 mm, 20 × 20 mm.

    • If top enclosures are not used or the berm is allowed as a barrier: at least 3.7 m (12 ft.).
    • If spectators are allowed to stand on the berm: at least 5.8 m (19 ft.).
  • Width: 1 m, 2 m, 4 m or by requirements.
• Vertical and Horizontal Supports:
• The distances of the vertical sags should not exceed 30.5 ± 2.5 cm (12 ± 1 in.), the steel cable strung across the top of the vertical supports can reduce the sag between the supports.
• Horizontal supports are needed to fasten the top and bottom of the netting.
• Colors: black, white, green, yellow, gray, blue or by requirements.
• Using life: minimum life length: 2 – 3 years, under normal weather conditions and usage.
